Our teaching qualifications are ideal for new entrants to the teaching industry, those currently teaching, or those who wish to teach their specialist subject to others. Trainers involved in providing funded Work Based Learning (WBL) may also be required to obtain a teaching qualification in order to satisfy the funding requirements. The Awarding Body TQUK are registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) with a credit value of 6, regardless of whether the course is completed at Level 3.
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification; however, there is a considerable amount of written work to be completed. This will involve reading of supplied reference books, researching specific topics, applying theory to practical scenarios and demonstrating knowledge and understanding through written work. Therefore, candidates for these courses should have a good standard of written and verbal communication skills. Access and use of a computer is preferable due to the nature of written assignments and designing lesson plans.

Our Trainer course has been designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities. It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as:
- Individuals not currently teaching or training – achievement of the qualification does not require practice other than micro-teaching, unless units from the Learning and Development Suite of qualifications are selected;
- Individuals currently teaching and training, including those new to the profession – although the qualifications does not require practice, opportunities may be made available to observe and provide feedback on a trainee teacher’s practice; and
- Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.
Learners are required to gather knowledge about the role and responsibilities of a teacher. During the course, they will be encouraged to develop skills which will enable them to plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions. The Course includes Education and Training Manual, assessment by an independent assessor for your assignments and Lunch with refreshments.
Train the Trainer £399.00 plus VAT
Our International Award in the Delivery of Training (Train the Trainer) course is organised over 3 days or 24 GLH the learner must complete 5 key tasks one of which is the delivery of 1 x 20-30 minute micro teach in front of their peers on a subject of their choice. This qualification is ideal for experienced or those new to a teaching role who wish to obtain a teaching qualification. Our all in cost per delegate for train the trainer is £399.00 plus VAT.
What are the entry requirements for this qualification?
Learners must be aged 19 + and undertake a formal initial assessment for English, mathematics and ICT.
How is it achieved?
Learners must produce a portfolio of evidence that will meet the learning outcomes for the units that have been selected
The price also includes assessment of assignments by an independent Invigilator and access to the tutor for ongoing support over the duration of the course should the need arise!
