We provide Defibrillator Training (AED Training) via a short, engaging course in Basic Life Support (BLS). The aim of the course is to enable all learners to deal with an unconscious casualty who is breathing and an unconscious casualty who is not breathing. This course gives the Learner the necessary knowledge to arrange equipment and call for the Emergency Services when required. This is a 4 hour course consisting of theory and skill stations. This is 2 hours Basic Life Support incorporating Heart Conditions and 2 hours using the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
There is a practical and theory based assessment and continuous evaluation throughout the defibrillator training course and all learners deemed to have reached the required standard will be issued with a Defibrillator Operators certificate which is valid for 12 months.
A maximum of 12 Learners can be accommodated on this course and must be aged 16 and above. More delegates can be included on our A.E.D Operator courses please phone us for details.
This course is 4 hours and can be tailored specifically to the organisation. If refresher training only is required this is approximately 2½ hours.

- Roles & Responsibilities of a First Aider
- Managing & Assessing Incidents
- Managing an unresponsive casualty who is Breathing
- When to commence Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Managing a casualty with a suspected Heart Attacks or Angina
- Regulations & safe use of an AED
