Our open course per person cost is £25.00 (all inclusive)
In September 2011 the HSENI changes came in which recommended that those that attend First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work should complete annual update training. This course gives those the skills to meet this requirement.
Over time First Aid competence may decline over the 3 years and if those skills are not used regularly there may be a need for periodic training annually. Therefore to ensure that first-aiders remain competent the “HSENI strongly recommend that first-aiders
undertake annual refresher training during any three year FAW/EFAW certification period.
Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first-aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first-aid procedures and protocols” taken from the FAW ACOP revised 2011
The syllabus of the course is:-
Candidates should demonstrate their competence to:
• assess the situation in an emergency
• administer first-aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
• administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• administer first-aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
• administer first-aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
This is a short update course lasting a couple of hours, those who wish to attend this course should have an in date First Aid at Work / Emergency First Aid at Work certificate from an approved provider to attend this course. Should you require any further information please contact us.
