Our AED Operator Courses are organised every month at our training centre in Bangor. NDFA Training is committed to highlighting workplace / Sporting or Community deaths due to Cardiac Arrest on our First Aid courses. Showing the simplicity of use of an Automated External Defibrillation (A.E.D).

This is not to say they are trained in the use of an AED but they can where necessary assist the Operator during a Cardiac arrest. To give someone the best chance of surviving a Cardiac arrest is the use of an AED and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

We have seen the success in the use of an AED for those suffering a Cardiac arrest. These units are so simple to use now that a few hours training can make the First Aider a competent AED Operator.

This is a short course in Basic Life Support (B.LS). The aim of the course is to enable all learners to deal with an unconscious casualty who is breathing and an unconscious casualty who is not breathing.

This course gives the Learner the necessary knowledge to arrange equipment and call for the Emergency Services when required. This course consists of theory and skill stations of which the first 2 hours are Basic Life Support incorporating Heart Conditions and 2 hours using the Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D).

NB: This is a 12 Months Certificate
