NDFA Training organise First Person On Scene Intermediate Refresher (FPOS-I) courses every month at our training venue these are over 3 longer days. The course meets the minimum requirement for the SIA for those wishing to work in Close Protection (CP) or for anyone who wishes to have a more indepth knowledge of First Aid and pre Hospital treatment.  Our all inclusive price is not to be missed, all our trainers come from Medical backgrounds and for this you are getting quality Pre Hospital training.

Entry requirement for this course an in-date IHCD FPOS-I Certificate.

The syllabus of the course is:-

  • Pre-Hospital Environment
  • Patient Assessment
  • Airway Management
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Defibrillation AED
  • Circulation & Shock
  • Medical and Trauma Emergencies
  • BLS Child & Infant
  • Fractures & Dislocations
  • Use of Oxygen
  • Helmet Removal
  • C Spine immobilisation
  • Role Play scenarios

Assessment is 25 Multiple Choice question paper and practical assessment by an approved assessor, all those who have reached the required standard will be issued with a Certificate which is valid for 3 years.

There are 3 qualifications for each has its own entry requirement. There is an option If the delegate wishes to take additional skills with each qualification to meet their requirements.

FPOS-B (Basic) 3 Hours pre study- 10 Hours Training- 2 Hours Assessment FPOS-I (Intermediate) 3 Hours Pre Study – 30 Hours Training – 2 Hours Assessment FPOS-E (Enhanced) 3 Hours Pre Study – 30 Hours Training – 2 Hours Assessment – 20 Hours Clinical Placement (Not offered by NDFA Training at this time)

Our all in cost per delegate for FPOS-I is £380.00 plus VAT, this includes a IHCD Manual and assessment by an independent examiner and Certification.
